Hilton Head Prep’s boys rallied from an early 12-point deficit to escape Savannah with a 47-45 overtime win at Bethesda Academy in a region matchup Saturday afternoon.
The Dolphins spotted the Blazers a 12-0 lead to start the game, but they clawed their way back into it thanks to huge games from JJ Hayes and Ryan Mikell.

Hayes put up 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks, and Mikell lit it up from the outside, draining six 3-pointers and grabbing four boards. Kane Eanes contributed seven points, seven boards, and four assists, and Luke Foley helped the Dolphins control the boards.
HHP (7-2, 2-0) travels to Savannah again Wednesday for a non-region game against St. Andrew’s.
