HSGBB: BA can’t keep pace with powerhouse Chargers

Beaufort Academy’s girls ran into a buzzsaw on the road Monday, falling 76-42 to SCISA 3A power Northwood Academy.

BA’s Mike’Ala Washington poured in 31 points after being named the Lowco Hoops Spotlight Offensive Player of the Week earlier Monday, extending her streak to five straight 20-point games to start the season, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with last year’s state runner-up.

Mary Hanna Hiers added six points for BA.

The Eagles (3-2) travel to Battery Creek on Tuesday.
