Hilton Head Prep’s girls opened the season with a hard-fought 22-20 road victory over the Coastal Hurricanes on Monday.
Emma Moore posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Avery Brothers added seven points, including a pair of clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, to lift the Dolphins.

The Dolphins were limited to four points in the first half, but their defense kept them in it and they trailed just 8-4 at the break. HHP was able to surge to a 13-12 lead heading to the fourth and hold on for the win.
HHP (1-0) hosts Habersham School at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
