After putting together a dominant outing Tuesday night, the Battery Creek volleyball team could not continue that momentum against Academic Magnet, losing 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-6) in a Region 8-3A Thursday evening.
Amber Cooklin and Brooke Crosby each recorded eight aces, while Laiani McCullough added seven and Kinley Webb picked up five.

The Dolphins’ offensive attack never could get into rhythm as it only collected four kills as a team. Multiple service errors forced McCullough and Caroline Malphrus into a sense of urgency, which led to a number of receiving errors.
Battery Creek returns home to the Palace on Tuesday for a region match against Hanahan. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
