Beaufort Academy 36, Bethesda Academy 28: The Eagles earned their first 11-man football victory with a thrilling win over last year’s SCISA 1A runner-up. Elijah Fess scored two touchdowns, and BA’s defense made a goal-line stand at the end of the game to preserve the victory.
Thomas Heyward 38, Dorchester Academy 14: Bruzza Pusha scored one touchdown rushing and another receiving and the Rebels’ defense cashed in two scores in a dominant performance on the road.
John Paul II 6, St. Andrew’s 0: The Golden Warriors snapped a 10-game skid to start coach Chris Myers’ tenure, as Jeremiah Young scored the game’s only touchdown late in the third quarter and JPII’s defense made it stand up.
