Hilton Head Prep scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 30-20 road win over Colleton Prep on Friday to open the season.
Carson King scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to fuel the comeback, and King and Tommy Stauffer had big nights on both sides of the ball.
Stauffer rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and added a team-high seven tackles, while King rushed for 46 yards and two TDs on eight carries, added four catches for 25 yards, and collected six tackles and a fumble recovery.
Harrison Green guided the ship at quarterback, going 8-of-23 passing for 84 yards, including a 30-yard TD strike to Gunnar Askeland, and adding a two-point conversion run.
Ezron Daley and Max Marko each added six tackles, and Tristan Bonomo recorded a safety for the Dolphins.
HHP (1-0) is off next week before hosting St. Andrew’s at 5 p.m. on Sept. 11.
