Thomas Heyward softball opened its season with a tough 12-10 loss to visiting Laurence Manning Academy on Thursday.
Isabel Cannon took the loss in the circle but also led the Rebels at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and four RBIs.
Abigail Hayes was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Bayli Belger was 2-for-2 with two walks and scored four times.
