The region champion Ridgeland-Hardeeville boys dominated the All-Region 8-3A awards released this week.
First-year head coach Kevin Wilson claimed Coach of the Year, senior Mauriq Singleton was named the Player of the Year, and three other Jaguars joined Singleton on the All-Region team.
Sha’Leaf Cherry, Rashard Baker, and Brandon Howard were selected to the All-Region squad along with Singleton, who is averaging 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals going into Friday’s second round of the playoffs.
May River’s Harry Cash and Gavin Blocker also made the 11-player All-Region team, along with Battery Creek’s Amoni Waring, Wade Hampton’s Brandon Brantley, Quayshaun Williams, and Samuel Gray, and Lake Marion’s Detric Jenkins.
