The legend of Tyrone Calloway’s senior season at Hilton Head Prep grew larger Friday night.
Calloway capped a 25-point performance with a floater in the lane as time expired to lift the Dolphins to a 71-70 overtime win at Pinewood Prep.
The game-winner provided the only lead of the night for the Dolphins, who twice pulled even — at the end of the third quarter and at the end of regulation — and trailed by one with 4.3 seconds left when Calloway drove the length of the court for the winning bucket.
Calloway led the Dolphins with 25 points, while freshman Kane Eanes added 18 off the bench, and Ryan Mikell scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter and overtime.
HHP also got seven points each from Luke Foley and Stone McDonald, whose work on the boards was key to the victory.
HHP (19-6) plays a region game at Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
