John Paul II’s girls picked up their 20th win of the season with a hard-fought 45-30 victory over visiting Hilton Head Prep on Friday.
Tkai DeVore overcame a strong defensive showing from the Dolphins to collect 18 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals, and Abby Quinty put together one of her best efforts of the season with 16 points and 13 boards for the Golden Warriors.
Haylee Hopman scored 13 points and Abi Mendoza added six for the Dolphins.
The Golden Warriors will try to earn a share of the region title when they host defending state champion Hilton Head Christian Academy on Tuesday.
