Tkai DeVore capped a big night with a buzzer beater to lift John Paul II’s girls to a 41-39 road win over the Coastal Hurricanes on Monday.
The game-winner put the finishing touches on another dominant performance from DeVore, who racked up 27 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, seven steals, and two blocks. JPII also won the first meeting on a buzzer beater from Bella Termini.
“I’m starting to think my girls enjoy seeing me stressed out,” JPII coach Karen Floyd said.
Abby Quinty also had a big game for the Golden Warriors with eight points and eight boards, and Jasmine Hamilton added six points, three boards, and two steals.
