HSBBB: Sharks let one slip away at Lake Marion

May River’s boys couldn’t hang onto a late lead Tuesday, as Lake Marion hit two free throws with 3 seconds left to claim a 53-52 victory over the visiting Sharks.

Harry Cash scored 27 points and freshman Gavin Blocker added 12 to lead the Sharks, who couldn’t come up with the defensive stop needed to seal the win.

The Gators were unable to take advantage of their first trip to the line trailing 52-51, but they retained possession after missing the front end of the bonus and got back to the line to hit the winning free throws.
