May River’s boys used a red-hot start to roll to a 66-52 home win over Lake Marion on Friday in their Region 8-3A opener.
The Sharks charged out to an 18-6 lead after one quarter and held a 36-15 halftime advantage before holding off the Gators’ efforts to come back in the second half.
Harry Cash scored 16 points, James Layman added 13, and Gavin Blocker had eight to lead the Sharks.
