It was a big night for the Beaufort Academy girls basketball team Saturday, as the Eagles claimed a tournament title and saw their star center hit a major milestone.
Amelia Huebel’s game-high 17 points included the 1,000th of her career as she led the host Eagles to a 53-14 victory over First Presbyterian in the championship game of the second annual BA Classic.
Mike’Ala Washington added 15 points for the Eagles, and EmilyAnn Hiers had six.
BA (3-0) travels to Clarendon Hall at 6 p.m. Monday.
