The Whale Branch boys avenged last month’s loss in the Earl Campbell Preseason Tournament championship with a convincing 68-44 win over visiting Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Friday.
Shawn Chisolm scored 21 points and Nick Pringle added 15 for the Warriors, while Jaylen Reeves added nine points and Javon Hogue scored eight.
Whale Branch surged ahead with a 24-point second quarter to take an 11-point halftime lead, then pulled away in the second half.
Dennis Holmes scored 12 points and Mauriq Singleton had nine to lead the Jaguars.
The Warriors (2-1) travel to Beaufort High at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Jaguars (2-2) host Beaufort High at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
