HSFB: Big 4th quarter lifts Dolphins at Dorchester

Hilton Head Prep rallied in the fourth quarter for a 31-22 road win at Dorchester Academy on Friday. 

After leading for most of the game, the Dolphins fell behind 24-18 heading into the fourth quarter before scoring two touchdowns in the final quarter to claim the victory.

Stone McDonald had a big game for the Dolphins, rushing 16 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns and completing 7-of-16 passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Carson King added 84 yards on 10 carries and had six catches for 58 yards and a touchdown and a two-point conversion, and Tyrone Calloway caught two passes for 33 yards and a score.

Trevor Weldon booted a 35-yard field goal for the Dolphins, and Tommy Stauffer (11 tackles) and King (nine tackles) led HHP’s defense.

The Dolphins (3-5) return to region play next week, hosting Northwood Academy.
