May River girls tennis held off Beaufort Academy for a 4-2 victory on Tuesday.
The Sharks swept the Eagles 6-0 in the first meeting, but Jayda Scheper and Tallie Pendarvis were able to break through and earn points for BA in the rematch.
Ellie Ford’s three-set win at No. 4 singles clinched the win for the Eagles, preventing a decided No. 1 doubles match.
The Sharks (5-5) travel to Hilton Head High on Thursday. The Eagles travel to Hilton Head Prep on Thursday.
