May River volleyball remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over visiting Hilton Head Prep on Monday.
After the teams split two tight sets, with May River claiming the first set 29-27 and Hilton Head Prep bouncing back to win 25-22 in the second, the Sharks put it away with 25-10 and 25-15 wins.
Addison Black collected 10 kills to go with six digs and five aces in a balanced effort by the Sharks. Lillian Long added eight kills and three blocks, Chynna Sneed had eight kills, Corrie Velder contributed seven digs and three aces, and Reaghan Evans dished out 12 assists for May River.
Ashley Wilmot led the Dolphins with 10 kills and 12 digs, while Gabby Bettez had 13 assists and five aces, and Haylee Hopman had a team-high 13 digs.
The Sharks (3-0, 2-0 Region 8-3A) host Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Tuesday. The Dolphins (5-4) host Cathedral Academy on Tuesday.
