Thomas Heyward rolled to another big win Friday, as five different players scored touchdowns in a 52-8 road win at John Paul II.
JR Patterson rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown and added 48 receiving yards, while Peyton Bennett passed for 193 yards and two scores. Both touchdown passes went to Jaterrius Pusha, who finished with 109 receiving yards.
Ely’Jiah Mitchell, Ayden Lassiter, and Branden Davis each added a rushing touchdown for the Rebels, who led 32-0 at halftime.
Josh Horton rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for the Golden Warriors.
The Rebels (2-0) host Colleton Prep for their region opener next week, while John Paul II (0-2) hosts St. Andrew’s.
