May River volleyball opened its season with a 3-0 region win at Wade Hampton on Tuesday.
Addison Black racked up 16 kills and Chynna Sneed added nine to lead the attack for the Sharks, who won 25-12, 25-20, 25-22.
Abby Puplava was 17-of-18 serving with five aces and added 10 assists, and Reaghan Evans dished out 20 assists.
The Sharks (1-0, 1-0) continue Region 8-3A play with a key match at Battery Creek on Thursday.
