Hilton Head suffered its first defeat of the Dixie Youth Baseball AAA (9-10) State Tournament on Sunday in Anderson, falling 7-1 to host team Central-Clemson.
The hosts jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and held Hilton Head at bay all afternoon, limiting them to four hits.
Jackson Reilley had two hits, and Jackson Richardson and Ben Eikenberry each added one.
Hilton Head will face Lake Marion in an elimination game at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
