May River saw its season end with a 6-5 loss to visiting Academic Magnet in the Class 3A district playoffs Saturday.
The Sharks rallied from a 5-1 deficit to cut the margin to one run but couldn’t push across the tying run.
Josh Patterson was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Josh Reddy was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Sharks.
May River finishes its season with a 14-11 record.
