Josh Patterson and Joseph Tapscott each hit a pair of home runs to power May River to a 17-0 win at Ridgeland-Hardeeville in Region 8-3A play Friday.
Patterson was 3-for-3 with two homers, four runs, and five RBIs, and Tapscott was 3-for-4 with two homers, three runs, and four RBIs to lead the Sharks at the plate. Jack Hegan was 2-for-2 with two doubles, an RBI, and three runs, and Van Phillips was 2-for-2 with a double, a run, and an RBI.
Blaine Clavel struck out four in a three-inning complete game, allowing two hits.
Brandon Howard and Rasheem King had hits for the Jaguars.
The Sharks (10-6, 6-0) travel to Wade Hampton at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the first game of a home-and-home series to determine the Region 8-3A title.
