Beaufort Academy’s boys beat a county rival in a shootout for the second consecutive game with a win over Hilton Head Prep on Thursday.
David Mathai stopped two penalty kicks for the second straight game, giving the Eagles a 4-2 shootout win after the game was tied at 1 at the end of regulation.
The goal from BA in regulation came from Ben Trask, who also scored the winning penalty kick. Charlie Weeden, Thomas Holladay, and Dawson Coleman were the other scorers in the shootout for the Eagles.
Ben Pellici scored in regulation for HHP on a header off an assist from Will Hannah.
BA (7-1) travels to Charleston Collegiate on Tuesday. HHP (4-6) travels to John Paul II on Tuesday.
