May River’s boys overcame a strong performance from Beaufort High’s goalkeeper to claim a 3-1 home victory Thursday.
Joel Fleek, Al Day, and Conner Golden each scored a goal for the Sharks.
May River led 2-1 before Nolan Schwerin converted an assist from Daniel Phares to pull the Eagles within 2-1. Golden put it away for the Sharks a few minutes later with his seventh goal of the season.
Sebastian Orlando made one save in goal for May River.
The Sharks (5-2-1) travel to rival Bluffton for a crosstown showdown at 7 p.m. Saturday. The Eagles (3-2) host Wade Hampton on Tuesday.
