HSBB: JPII Boys Hold Off BA In Region Opener

John Paul II’s boys claimed a big road win to open region play Tuesday, winning 49-43 at Beaufort Academy. 

Rashad Battiste led JPII with 16 points and seven rebounds. Sam Summa had 11 points, six rebounds, and three blocks, and Melik Frost added 10 points for the Golden Warriors, who trailed by one at halftime.

Elijah Fess scored 13 points to lead the Eagles, while Dawson Coleman added 10 and Jaylen Reeves had nine. 

JPII (7-7, 1-0) travels to Hilton Head Prep on Friday. BA (8-4) travels to Hilton Head Christian Academy on Friday.
