HSBB: Hot Start Leads JPII Boys Past Matadors

John Paul II’s boys ran out to a 25-0 lead and cruised to a 67-47 win over host Memorial Day in the first round of the Kevin Brophy Invitational on Friday.

Zach Doe collected 12 points and 11 rebounds, Sam Summa had 14 points and nine boards, and Melik Frost added seven points and five assists to lead the Golden Warriors.

JPII (6-6) will face Pinewood Christian in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
