John Paul II’s girls suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday, falling 48-47 to visiting St. Vincent’s Academy.
Tkai DeVore led the Golden Warriors with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Abby Quinty added 13 points, and Jasmine Hamilton had seven.
“We really struggled defensively tonight and could not get the job done,” JPII coach Karen Floyd said. “We’re hoping for better results against Andrew Jackson tomorrow.”
JPII (4-1) hosts Andrew Jackson on Wednesday.
