Hilton Head Prep’s boys opened the season with a hard-fought 56-52 home win over Savannah Country Day on Tuesday.
Tyrone Calloway made 4-of-5 from the foul line in the final minute to help the Dolphins seal the win in a game in which neither team led by more than four throughout.
Avern Montaque scored 23 points, Haddith Stewart added 12, and Calloway finished with 10 to lead HHP.
The teams will meet again next Tuesday at Savannah Country Day.
