HSFB: Dolphins Downed By Carolina Academy

Hunter Hopman’s three rushing touchdowns weren’t enough for Hilton Head Prep in a 50-28 home loss to Carolina Academy on Friday.

The Dolphins trailed 50-8 at halftime before outscoring the Bobcats 20-0 in the second half.

Hopman rushed for 101 yards and three scores on 10 carries and added a two-point conversion run to lead the Dolphins’ offense. The Bobcats slowed down quarterback Stone McDonald, who passed for 46 yards and a touchdown and threw two interceptions. Carson King caught four passes for 46 yards, including a 31-yard TD.

The Dolphins (1-4) travel to Bethesda Academy in Savannah next Friday.
