Thomas Heyward Academy continued its dominant start to the season with a 51-3 win over visiting Northwood Academy on Friday.
Quarterback Jake Masters scored on a 13-yard run on the Rebels’ first offensive play of the game after a long punt return by Trey Pusha set them up with good field position. That set the tone for the night, as the Rebels put up 30 points in the first quarter and never looked back.
Bobby Payne scored on a punt return and a kickoff return, and River Pender, JR Patterson, CJ Cleland, and Pusha all added rushing touchdowns for THA.
The Rebels (6-0) travel to Northside Christian for a SCISA Region 2-1A matchup next Friday.
