Youth Baseball: Bluffton American Falls To Midland At Minors State Tourney

One big inning was too much for the Bluffton American All-Stars to overcome in a 17-2 loss to Midland on Sunday at the Dixie Youth Baseball Minors (9-10) State Tournament in Moncks Corner.

Midland broke open the game with an 11-run second inning and took advantage of eight Bluffton errors.

Roman Colella went 2-for-2 and Max Van Esselstyn had an RBI to lead Bluffton at the plate.

Bluffton faces Orangeburg in an elimination game at 4 p.m. Monday.
