Three Dixie Softball State Tourneys Begin Saturday In Bluffton

Softball teams from throughout the Palmetto State are in Bluffton this weekend to compete for Dixie Softball state titles.

The state championship tournaments in three age divisions — Angels (9-10), Ponytails (11-12), and Belles (13-15) — will be played from Saturday through Wednesday at Oscar J. Frazier Park.

Each of the three eight-team, double-elimination tournaments will be played on a different field beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Host Bluffton will have teams in each of the two younger age divisions. The Bluffton Angels will face Sumter at 2 p.m. Saturday, while the Bluffton Ponytails will take on Kershaw County at 4 p.m.
