Cheyenne Strong threw a gem for a second straight night as Thomas Heyward won 5-1 at May River on Friday.
Strong struck out 11 and limited the Sharks to two hits and three walks one night after striking out all 10 batters she faced in a three-inning perfect game in the Rebels’ 22-0 win over John Paul II.
Strong also had a big night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Ivy Bryan was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs.
Hannah Manley and Maddie Armistead had the only hits for the Sharks. Hayley Welsch took the loss, allowing five runs and seven hits over five innings.
The Rebels (9-10) wrap up the regular season with a region game at Colleton Prep at 6 p.m. Thursday. The Sharks (11-9) open the Class 3A playoffs at home Thursday.
