The May River boys saw their breakthrough season come to a close with a 21-10 loss to Academic Magnet in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs Tuesday.
Jon Boan had four goals and an assist, Luke Boan added three goals and an assist, Seth Eaton scored two goals, and C.J. Wajszczuk added a goal for the Sharks, who finished their second season with an 11-4 record.
Coach Tom Dyer praised three seniors to helped build a strong foundation for the program – Jon Boan, who finished with 101 goals and 58 assists in 27 career games; Harrison Rogers, who collected 223 ground balls in 26 career games; and Hunter Brophy, who had 42 ground balls in 27 career games was a team leader.
