The Beaufort Hustle AAU basketball program’s ninth-grade boys went 3-0 and won the championship at the Holy City Basketball Showcase over the weekend.
Amere Cherry averaged a team-high 19 points over the weekend and Elijah Fess led the team with 16 in a 52-37 win over Orangeburg Xpress in the championship game.
Beaufort Hustle’s seventh-grade boys went 3-1 and lost in the finals, 57-39 to Florida Elite, while the eighth-grade boys went 2-1 and lost in the semifinals and the 10th-grade boys went 1-2 and lost in the semifinals in their first tournament of the season.
Next up for the Hustle is the USBA Thoroughbred Classic in Aiken on April 20-21.
