HS Soccer: Sharks’ Streak Reaches 12 Games

May River’s boys ran their winning streak to 12 games with an 8-0 win over Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Friday.

Donovan Ling scored the first of his two goals in the eighth minute for the game-winner, and AJ Kestler added two goals for the Sharks. Alan Gonzalez, Conner Golden, Joel Fleek, and Chris Hernandez scored a goal apiece.

Chris Pineda had three assists, and. Fleek, James Lucas, Golden, and Alan Gonzalez each had one assist.

Tony Rodriguez made three saves in a second consecutive shutout.

May River (16-1, 6-0 region) hosts defending Class 2A champion Academic Magnet at 2 p.m. Saturday.
