Nick Bass and Elijah Peter combined for a three-inning no-hitter and Kamryn Gleason hit a grand slam to lead May River to a 15-0 win at Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Wednesday.
Bass struck out two and walked one over two innings and Peter struck out two and walked one in one inning of relief to shut down the Jaguars.
Gleason’s grand slam was the biggest blow in a 10-run second inning. Josh Patterson was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, Vance Summers was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs, and Jacob Ryan homered for the Sharks.
May River (13-3) hosts the Jaguars in the series finale at 6 p.m. Friday.
