Low Country Volleyball Club 15 National Claims Another Title

Low Country Volleyball Club’s 15 National team continued its strong winter season with a title at the Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy Invitational in Orlando last weekend.

After losing its first match of the tournament, the team won six consecutive matches to finish first among 24 teams.

On Sunday, the LCVC team cruised past teams from Bradenton and Palm Beach in the first two rounds of the playoffs before winning a pair of three-set battles in the semifinals and finals. LCVC defeated host team OT 15 Serge 25-19, 23-25, 15-8 in the semifinals and rallied to beat Gainesville Juniors 23-25, 25-20, 15-10 in the finals.

Earlier this season, the 15 National team won the Charleston January Jam Tournament and finished seventh among 26 teams in the K2 Wilderness Tournament. Their next tournament will be at the Savannah Showdown from Feb. 17-19.
