Beaufort Academy’s girls held off visiting Hilton Head Prep for a 23-20 win in region play Thursday.
Becca Frelin scored eight points and Kendall Duncan added six to lead the Eagles in the defensive struggle. Kierstin Clark led the Dolphins with 10 points.
Both teams have trips to Colleton Prep up next on their schedule, as the Dolphins (3-9, 0-3) travel to Walterboro on Friday and the Eagles (9-4, 4-1) make the trip on Tuesday.
