Irvin Mulligan rushed for four touchdowns and Jamel Moultrie recorded four interceptions as Whale Branch smashed Garrett Tech 49-6 on Friday to clinch the Region 6-2A title.
Mulligan had scoring runs of 13, 10 and 80 yards in the first half as the Warriors built a 35-0 halftime lead and added a 9-yard TD run after the break. Jaheem Hazel added a touchdown run and a 27-yard scoring strike to Trevaughn Hipp, and Roscoe Fields had a rushing score.
Whale Branch (4-4, 4-0) wraps up the regular-season at Burke next week.
