Another Top-10 Finish For Bluffton’s Dean At ModSpace 150

Bluffton race car driver Gus Dean finished seventh at the ModSpace 150 at Pocono Raceway on Friday in Long Pond, Pa., claiming his 10th consecutive top-10 finish in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

The start of the race was delayed by rain, and the first four laps were run under caution. Dean, who qualified eighth, bounced around the top 10 early and moved up to second before making his first pit stop and sliding to eighth just past the halfway point of the 60-lap race.

Dean and Sheldon Creed battled for sixth and seventh down the stretch, swapping positions until Creed got around Dean with four laps to go and held him off.

Dean remains in fourth place in the season-long points race and leads the Scott Rookie Challenge.

The next race on the circuit is the Winchester ARCA 200 on Aug. 6 at Winchester Speedway in Indiana.
