Hilton Head Island’s Daniel Azallion fired a 4-under-par 67 in the final round Wednesday at Thornblade Club in Greer to tie for third place in the boys 13-18 division at the 19th annual Blade Junior Classic.
Azallion (74-67) tied for the second-best round of the day in the final round. Inman’s Jacob Bridgemand (65-66) finished at 11-under to claim a seven-shot win over Gaffney’s Zack Gordon.
Beaufort County was well-represented in the prestigious junior event, as Hilton Head Island’s Jonathan Griz (74-70) tied for 11th, Bluffton’s Drew Weary (73-74) tied for 18th, and Bluffton’s Brandon McBride (75-73) finished 25th. Other locals in the field included Hilton Head Island’s Evan Greenplate (75-76, T-32nd), Fripp Island’s Tommy Holloway (81-74, T-43rd), and Hilton Head Island’s Charles Farrell (82-78, T-57th).
