Ospreys’ Season Ends With Extra-Innings Loss In American Legion Playoffs

The Beaufort Ospreys’ season came to an end Saturday with a 6-5 loss in extra innings to Horry Post 111 in the second round of the American Legion Baseball state playoffs.

The Ospreys took a 5-3 lead to the bottom of the ninth before Horry scored two runs to tie and won it with a run in the 10th, winning the best-of-5 series 3-1.

Hartley Smith and Dallas Higuet each had two hits and an RBI, and Rome Wallace, Griffin Yeager, and Ethan Graham added an RBI each for Beaufort.
