Bluffton golfer Bryson Nimmer remains in the hunt for a prestigious amateur championship heading into the final round of the Dogwood Invitational.
Nimmer shot 2-under-par 70 in Friday’s third round at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta and is tied for seventh at 13-under for the tournament, two shots behind a trio of leaders.
The former Hilton Head Christian Academy standout and current Clemson All-American got off to a hot start with birdies in two of his first three holes before making bogey at the par-3 sixth. Nimmer added two more birdies at the par-5 ninth and the par-5 14th before giving back a shot at the par-4 16th to finish at 2-under.
Nimmer will tee off at 9:26 a.m. Saturday for the final round.
