Two More Bluffton All-Star Teams Punch Their Tickets To State Tournament

Two more Bluffton all-star teams earned trips to the state tournament Wednesday night by winning their district tournaments.

The Bluffton Darlings (age 9-10) softball all-stars lost their first game of the evening 12-1 to Goose Creek, forcing a rubber match in the best-of-3 series, but Bluffton claimed a walk-off 7-6 win in the finale to earn a berth in the state tournament starting July 8 in Dillon.

The Bluffton American all-stars completed their undefeated run through the Minors (age 9-10) district tournament with a 13-3 win over Colleton County, punching their ticket to the state tournament starting July 15 in Hartsville.
