Bryson Nimmer put together another solid round Thursday, shooting 4-under-par 68, and is tied for second and two shots off the lead after the second round of the Dogwood Invitational at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta.
Nimmer, a former Hilton Head Christian Academy standout and current Clemson All-American, held a one-shot lead after firing a 7-under 65 in Wednesday’s first round. He made five birdies and one bogey – his first of the tournament – in the second round and sits at 11-under-par, two shots behind leader Dawson Armstrong.
Nimmer is tied with Chandler Eaton and Andy Ogletree, who shot 8-under 64 on Thursday. Three more players are tied at 10-under and another five are at 9-under, making for a wide-open final 36 holes.
Nimmer will be paired with Armstrong and Ogletree for an 8:30 a.m. tee time in Friday’s third round.
