The Hilton Head Island All-Stars used a 10-run third inning to break open a close game and rolled to a 15-5 win over Midland on Tuesday to remain undefeated in the 2021 Dixie Youth Baseball Ozone (12U) state tournament in Moncks Corner.
Midland got to Hilton Head ace Phoenix Shapiro for two runs in the first before the Lowco squad answered with a run in the bottom half. Both teams went scoreless in the second and Alan Wolf worked around a pair of walks in a scoreless third before the Hilton Head offense came up big.

Nicklaus Feltner’s bases-clearing double capped off a 10-run third inning in which Hilton Head smacked six hits and took advantage of four walks and an error.
Midland scored three in the fifth to chip away at the deficit, but Hilton Head put up four runs in the fifth to end it early on the 10-run rule.
Wolf went 3-for-3 with a double, and RBI, and two runs, and he continued his strong performance on the mound, not allowing a hit while pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and five walks.
Ty Eanes, Jackson Reilley, and Colin Lozan each added two hits and an RBI for Hilton Head.
Hilton Head is the only remaining undefeated team in the tournament and will face host Moncks Corner at 8 p.m. Wednesday with a chance to clinch a spot in the championship game.
