Hilton Head Christian Academy boys soccer snapped region rival John Paul II’s eight-game winning streak with a 2-0 win Tuesday in the Eagles’ first game on their new competition field on their Bluffton campus.
JP Peduzzi and Josh Elam each scored a goal to lead the Eagles. Peduzzi opened the scoring opportunities in the first half, and Elam contributed a goal in the second half after a missed penalty kick by the Golden Warriors.

Riley Shinn recorded numerous saves, including saving one of the two PKs JPII attempted.
Austin Floyd was a bright spot for the Golden Warriors both offensively and defensively, and Evan Slusne recorded several incredible saves to keep JPII close.
HHCA (4-2-2, 2-1) hosts Beaufort Academy on Thursday, while JPII (8-2, 4-1) hosts Beaufort Academy on Friday.
