Colleton Prep baseball found the scorching-hot bats late to overcome a seven-run deficit Monday, rallying past visiting Hilton Head Christian Academy in an 18-10 slugfest.
HHCA surged to an early 9-2 lead in the third inning, but the War Hawks quickly kicked their offense into high gear, rattling off 16 unanswered runs the rest of the way including an eight-run fifth to bury the Eagles.

Drew Murdaugh led the offensive assault, going 3-for-5 with a double and five RBI. Pete Peters, Colton Daniels, and Grayson Mills each added a pair of hits for the War Hawks. Daniels shined on the mound to keep the newfound lead intact, finishing off the last five innings with a whopping 12 strikeouts.
Jackson Lanier had a tremendous day at the plate for HHCA, finishing 4-for-5 with two RBIs, while Micheal Zoodsma collected a pair of knocks and drove in five.
HHCA (0-3, 0-1) travels to Hilton Head Prep on Thursday.
Colleton Prep (2-1, 1-0) hosts Northwood Academy on Tuesday.
